What belongs here

Share something positive that you actually did, or took part in, for the environment, animals, plants or other people. For example:

• Picking up litter, sorting waste, or clearing a blocked drain where it is safe and appropriate to do so.
• Planting a tree and looking after it; protecting plants, water or wildlife habitat.
• Putting out food or water for birds; helping a stray or injured animal get care.
• Helping a person in need, or joining a community cleanup or drive.

Small is welcome. A good post says plainly what happened, when, and roughly where, with at least one photo you took.

Safety first

No good deed is worth an injury. Please don't post — and don't attempt — anything that involves:

• Dangerous stunts, climbing, traffic, deep or fast water, electrical lines, or handling hazardous waste without proper protection.
• Handling wild, venomous, aggressive or seriously injured animals yourself. Contact a vet, a local rescue group or the relevant authority instead.
• Trespassing, or entering drains, canals or structures that are unsafe.
• Actions that harm nature while trying to help it, such as releasing non-native species or planting where it damages a habitat.

Posts that encourage risky behaviour are not published and are never eligible for awards.

What isn't allowed

• Fake, staged or copied submissions. Don't claim someone else's work, reuse old photos as new, or stage a scene to look like a good deed.
• Duplicates and spam. One post per action. No repeated submissions, advertising or solicitation.
• Exposing people. No photos that humiliate the person being helped; no faces of children or vulnerable people without consent from them or a guardian.
• Private information. No home addresses, phone numbers, ID documents or exact coordinates — yours or anyone else's.
• Harassment and hate. No abuse, threats, or attacks on anyone's religion, ethnicity, gender, disability or background.
• Graphic or cruel content. No gore or animal cruelty, even to “raise awareness”.
• Manipulation. No fake accounts, traded reactions or other attempts to game recognition.

Photos, video and consent

Only upload media you created or have permission to share. If a person can be recognised, make sure they agreed to appear. When you submit, you confirm this. If you appear in a post without your consent, use the Report button or contact us and we will review it promptly.

How moderation works

• Posts are published right away. You can edit or delete your own posts at any time.
• Moderators check posts and reports. They can remove a post that breaks these guidelines, and may send you a message in your Alerts.
• Moderators cannot review their own submissions, and every decision is logged with who made it and when.
• A published post is not independent verification that an outcome occurred.

Reporting

Every post, comment and profile has a Report option. Reports are private: the person reported is not told who reported them. Moderators review each report and record the outcome. Please don't use reports to settle disagreements — repeated bad-faith reports are themselves a violation.

Warnings and suspensions

Depending on severity, a violation can lead to content being declined or removed, a formal warning, or suspension of the account. A suspended member can still sign in and read, but cannot post, comment or react. The reason is always recorded and sent to you as a notification.

Weekly Mystery Box

Every 7 days, one member wins a surprise gift box. There is nothing to buy or enter: everyone who shares good deeds is in the running.

We choose the winner by looking at the whole week together, not at a single number:

• Score. Your XP, earned from published good deeds, the causes you help, inspiration from others and comments.
• Good deeds posted. How many of your posts were approved and published that week.
• Quality of impact. How real, useful and well documented your contribution was. One big, careful action can beat many small ones.
• Activity. How often you took part: posting, encouraging others and joining the conversation.

Only approved posts count, and the same rules as everywhere else apply: staged, copied, unsafe or manipulated posts are disqualified. We contact the winner to arrange delivery, and delivery can depend on where you live.

Award eligibility

• Only approved good deeds published within an award period's dates are considered.
• Your account must be in good standing and meet any minimum account age stated for that period.
• Entries are scored by judges against the rubric published for each award period, and results appear on the winner's profile. Reactions are a minor factor and never decide a result alone.
• Judges cannot score their own entries and must declare conflicts of interest.
• Duplicate, staged, unsafe or manipulated entries are disqualified. Awards can be withdrawn if a violation is discovered later.
• Prizes, where offered, are described with each award. Their availability can vary by period and location.

Appeals

If you believe a moderation decision, suspension or award decision was wrong, contact us through the support address within 30 days, with the post or award concerned and why you disagree. Someone who was not involved in the original decision will review it, and we will tell you the outcome.
